About me

“Travel brings me joy”

It all started when…

I lost my corporate job at the end of 2020 due to COVID. I was determined to find a way to maintain my cost of living but on my own terms. Losing my comfortable, high paying job of 5 years was pretty traumatic. It was the first and only job I had since completing my university studies.

Since then, I spent months researching the idea of creating a life for myself that didn’t separate the concepts ‘working’ and ‘living’.

I was only ‘living’ after 5pm and on weekends. I spent weeks at my desk looking forward to my next escape. I celebrated the Fridays, dreaded the Mondays and hated the Sunday Scaries.

Like an army brat, I grew up moving to a new place every two years, so traveling has always been part of my life. I didn’t think I was a creative person. I am not much of a writer or artist. After getting my Masters in Marketing & Business, I decided to work for creatives in a strategic and managerial role instead of actually being the one creating. That is until recently.

Content is the reason search began in the first place.” - Lee Odden

Friends would always tell me I had a good eye based on what they saw in my personal photos. I thanked them and never paid attention to it, not realizing what this meant. It meant I was creative in my own way. Having an eye for photography or film means you subconsciously know what goes into making stunning shots: composition. Slowly I was developing a skill, and I didn’t even know it.

As I create content for digital channels such as YouTube, IG and Pinterest, I’m fully immersing myself in the Creator Economy and turning these channels into my business. I am learning what it takes to grow and succeed in them. The beauty of learning is sharing. I’ve decided to document my journey so that I can help others. Learn through my mistakes and failures, but also follow and celebrate my successes together with me.

Your support means the world to me.
